Our Invitation
We the believers of Earlewood Baptist Church invite you to join us in worshiping God each Sunday and to join us in all our worship opportunities through out the week. We feel that you will experience God's love and receive a great spiritual blessing.
Our Church
Earlewood Baptist Church was established on April 2, 1939 in the Earlewood community with 64 charter members. Since its humble beginnings the church has grown and continues to be a place to worship God and to minister to the community. In addition to regular Sunday worship activities, the church has a youth program, a children's church, music ministry, and a program for seniors and a ladies Bible study.
Our Mission
Communicating Christ to Change our Community
Our mission is based on the words of Christ:
(1) "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with thy mind". " Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy self". (Matthew 22:37 &39)
(2) "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world". (Matthew 29:19-20)
Our Purpose
To be a community passionately sharing (evangelism) the Gospel of Jesus Christ
To build (edify) strong, mature believers
To encourage each other in the Spirit
To equip and empower for ministry in order to exalt God

Our Pastor
Reverend William A Robertson is our pastor. Rev. Robertson is very experienced minister who preaches and teaches the word od God. He holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and trained in Clinical Pastoral Education at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. In addition to being a pastor, he has been an Army chaplain, a hospital chaplain, and a Hospice chaplain. Our Pastor also looks forward to meeting you in worshiping God.
Our Ordinances
Our church practices two ordinances, baptism and the Lord's Supper.
(1) Baptism is by immersion and is symbolic of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:4-6)
(2) The Lord's Supper is taken to remember what Christ did for our salvation. (1 Corinthians 11:24-26)
Our Beliefs About
God: There is only one true God who reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is creator, judge and redeemer of all mankind.
Jesus Christ: He is God in flesh, born of a virgin, was crucified, died and was buried but resurrected from the dead for our sins. He will return for his Church.
The Holy Spirit: He is a part of the Godhead; he convicts mankind of sin and convinces mankind for the need of salvation.
The Bible: It is the inspired word of God and is therefore without error. It is the written revelation of God whereby he makes himself known to all humanity.
Salvation: It is a gift from God based upon His grace and extended to all those who will repent of sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord Savior.
Heaven and Hell: Heaven is a literal place where the saved shall live eternally and hell is a literal place where the unsaved will be punished by God.
